Wat is blonderen?

Ingrediënten blondeermiddel
Vaak hoor je dat blonderen schadelijk is en dat je het zoveel mogelijk moet proberen te voorkomen. Wat maakt juist dit haarproduct zo schadelijk? Blondeermiddel bevat ammonia, waterstofperoxide en peroxidesulfaten. Door ammonia zwellen de haarvezels op en zijn ze zo toegankelijk voor andere ingrediënten. Ook zet ammonia waterstofperoxide om in actieve zuurstof. De zuurstof oxideert het melanine (melanine is jouw natuurlijke haarpigment). Dit zit onder de schubbenlaag (beschermende laag van het haar) in de haarschors. In de haarschors zitten kleurstoffen, melanine, die voor de kleur van ons haar zorgen. Door het oxideren van het melanine ontstaat er dus "kleurloos" haar.

Haarkwaliteit
De kwaliteit van jouw haar moet een uitgangspunt zijn voor het wel of niet blonderen. Als blondeermiddel te lang in het haar inwerkt, raakt je haar ernstig beschadigd. Dus als je niet met een strobos wil lopen, zorg dat het blondeermiddel in ieder geval niet te lang inwerkt. Buiten schade bestaat er ook een grote kans dat de kleur compleet anders wordt dan dat je voor ogen had. Als je blondeermiddel juist te kort laat inwerken, dan kan de haarkleur ook tegenvallen (te licht/ongewenste gloed in het haar). Extra tip: probeer het middel niet op je hoofdhuid te laten intrekken om irritatie te voorkomen.
