Hair care, we can't live without it. It used to be mainly about cleaning the hair, but now our hair has become one of the most important parts of our appearance. After all, you can do all sorts of things with it! Dye it in a (too crazy) colour, choose curly or straight hair, make dull hair shiny again and frizzy hair smooth. The possibilities are endless! With hair care, you make sure your hair stays healthy by using products that suit your hair and hair type. There are so many products and brands these days that have done a lot of research so you can choose a good product, but sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees. At JohnBeerens.com, we'd love to help you find your way around the products and which ones suit you best.

To guide you through the world of care for hair, we have below an explanation of the different products in our range.
- Shampoo: een shampoo staat aan de basis van alle verzorging voor het haar. Het product bevat een detergent om het haar en de hoofdhuid te reinigen van viezigheid als stof, dode huidcellen, en vuil van bijvoorbeeld styling producten. Goede shampoos zullen dit doen zonder de natuurlijke oliën van de hoofdhuid te verwijderen.
Omdat wij veel verschillende shampoos hebben, hebben we de producten in verschillende categorieën geplaatst om het makkelijker te maken voor jou om een product te kiezen. We hebben een categorie ‘shampoo op haartype’ die producten bevatten voor bijvoorbeeld shampoo voor beschadigd haar, shampoo voor krullend haar, shampoo voor pluizig haar, shampoo voor vet haar, en ook shampoo voor de schilferige hoofdhuid of shampoo voor de gevoelige hoofdhuid. Dit is maar een kleine greep, maar als je je haar in een van deze categorieën terug ziet zal het perfecte product makkelijker te vinden zijn.
Een andere categorie, ‘shampoo op producttype’ bevat producten die aangeven wat ze voor je haar doen. Zo bevat deze categorie anti pluis shampoo, anti roos shampoo, keratine shampoo, haarverdikkende shampoo, zilvershampoo of bijvoorbeeld volume shampoo. Hier zie je meteen wat het product voor jouw haar doet.
De laatste categorie is de ‘shampoo op ingrediënt’ die is aangemaakt omdat mensen steeds bewuster worden welke ingrediënten ze wel en niet in hun shampoo willen. Hier vind je shampoos als vegan shampoo, shampoo met arganolie, shampoo zonder sulfaten en nog veel meer!
Ook hebben we een categorie met de best verkochte shampoos en de top 10 shampoos van John. - Dry shampoo: has a similar effect to shampoo, it is a spray that absorbs sebum, the substance that makes your hair oily. This will remove the grease, so to speak, and make it feel a bit fresher, allowing you to postpone washing for another day. It can also provide extra volume and texture at the roots of your hair.
- Conditioner: wordt bijna altijd na een shampoo gebruikt. Zoals al is aangegeven is een shampoo een reinigend product en een conditioner zorgt er juist voor dat de textuur van het haar wordt versterkt, het vochtgehalte wordt aangevuld, een beschermend laagje om het haar wordt gelegd en dat het zacht, glanzend en doorkambaar wordt. Dit doet het product door verschillende ingrediënten. Er zijn, net als bij shampoos, ontzettend veel soorten conditioners met elk weer een andere werking, daarom hebben wij dit product ook opgesplitst in verschillende categorieën zodat de keuze voor jou makkelijker wordt.
We hebben een categorie met ‘conditioner op haartype’ die weer categorieën bevat als conditioner voor beschadigd haar, conditioner voor dof haar, conditioner voor droog haar, conditioner voor geblondeerd haar, en nog veel meer!
Een andere categorie is de ‘conditioner op producttype’, deze geeft meteen aan wat de belangrijkste kwaliteit van de conditioner is. We hebben in ons assortiment onder andere iedere dag conditioners, zilver conditioner voor brunettes, zon conditioner en nog meer.
Een categorie met ‘conditioner op ingrediënt’ kan natuurlijk ook niet uit deze lijst ontbreken. Hier staat het product gecategoriseerd op ingrediënt, wat inhoudt dat consumenten makkelijk een bewuste keuze kunnen maken. Hier hebben we bijvoorbeeld een vegan conditioner, conditioner zonder zout of een conditioner met keratine. - Leave-in conditioner: een leave-in conditioner heeft dezelfde werking als een gewone conditioner, maar heeft een andere gebruiksaanwijzing. Een conditioner gebruik je tijdens het douchen en spoel je daarna uit. Dit product gebruik je na het douchen op nat haar en spoel je niet uit. Hierdoor blijft het je haar de hele dag voeden en beschermen. Dit product is extra geschikt voor krullend haar. Dit product komt ook in spray-variant.
- Hair mask: a mask for the hair is incredibly similar to a conditioner. The difference between the 2 products therefore lies in the water content. A mask is more concentrated than a conditioner and nourishes the hair extra because the moisture in the product is less. The texture is therefore a bit thicker. It is often up to the person what they like more as a product. We have also divided this product into categories, for example we have a hair mask for damaged hair, a hair mask for dry hair a mask for curly hair and much more!
- Hair restorer: this product has a wider range of different products for dry, damaged and brittle hair. They are specially formulated to deeply condition hair to close the cuticles and fight split ends.
- Hair serum: the product is a protection and care for your hair. It puts a layer around your hair protecting it from external influences. It creates manageable hair and prevents frizz.
- Hair oil: an oil is not meant to make your hair greasy, but to keep it healthy. Different oils ensure healthy hair as they are full of vitamins. You use it as a finishing touch for your hair and create a beautiful shine. The product is great for people with dry and damaged hair. Every oil is different so pay attention to which oil is best for your hair!
- Treatment: an intensive treatment that is even more concentrated than a conditioner or hair mask. It is often a combination of ingredients that restores hair, gives shine, protects against heat, gives softness and smoothness, protects against Uv-radiation, detangles and combats split ends. - Anti klit spray: een anti klit spray kan worden gebruikt om klitten makkelijk doorkambaar te maken. De spray bevat ingrediënten die als een soort olie werken. Daar dat laagje kan je makkelijker met je kam door de stugge klitten heenkomen. Het product kan vaak op nat en droog haar worden gebruikt.
- Hittebescherming: gebruik jij wel een stylingstools als een föhn, stijltang of krultang? Dan weet je vast ook dat je haar beschadigd wordt door de hitte van de tools. Daarom is het belangrijk een hittebescherming te gebruiken die het haar beschermd. Het creëert een soort barrière tussen de hitte van de tool en het haar.
- Hair loss: hair loss is a problem that affects many women and men. The causes and characteristics are often a bit apart though. We have several products that can reduce or even stop hair loss. Since the reason is not always clear, we have different categories to help you choose a good product.
'Hair loss by product type' consists of hair loss shampoo, hair loss conditioner, hair loss vitamin and other categories.
'Hair loss by cause' looks at the specific reason for hair loss. Here we have categories like hair loss after pregnancy, hair loss due to stress and hair loss due to menopause, among others.
Under 'hair loss by characteristic', you can look at which of the characteristics suit you and to hide hair loss, we have a category with 'hide hair loss'.
