A good hair routine often starts in the shower. Did you know that the order in which you use products and the way you wash your hair can make a big difference? With the right order in the shower and a few simple steps, your hair will stay soft and shiny.

Start with a Shampoo

It all starts with a good shampoo. Find a shampoo that suits your hair type and needs. If you want more hydration, more volume or just recovery, try it out and find the right shampoo for your hair. Now before using, gently massage the shampoo into the scalp to remove dirt and sebum, but be careful with the lengths, they don't need to be washed with shampoo. So really focus on the scalp.

An important tip; wash your hair 2 times. The first time you remove excess dirt and product residue. With the2nd time, you cleanse your hair more thoroughly and the product can do its job better. This will keep your hair clean and healthy without drying it out.

Conditioner in the lengths

After washing, it is important to nourish and protect your hair. Apply conditioner to the lengths and ends, where hair is most vulnerable. Avoid the scalp, as this makes the hair heavier and also makes it greasy faster. Leave the conditioner on for a while (1-3 minutes) and then rinse well. After rinsing, the hair will be softer and easier to comb.

Give your hair extra nourishment

Once in a while (depending on your hair needs and how often you wash your hair), a mask or deep nourishing treatment can provide extra care. Find a mask that again suits your hair needs. Apply the mask after washing your hair with shampoo. Leave it on for a while, often about 10 minutes. Rinse well and only then apply conditioner. This way, your hair gets the care it needs to prevent breakage and split ends and maintain shine.

Protect and care after showering

After you wash your hair, it remains fragile. A leave-in conditioner or a hair oil can help retain moisture and combat frizz. Apply these products mainly to the lengths and ends to keep your hair supple and soft without weighing it down.

Drying technique

The way you dry your hair can make a big difference. Instead of rubbing your hair dry, gently pat your hair dry with a towel. This will prevent tangles, breakage and frizzy hair. Want to blow dry your hair? Then always use a heat protector to protect your hair and keep it healthy.
